cw: offhand mention of animal death

[Oh, they definitely didn't play this back in the 60s--and they didn't play this in the 50s, either, where Margaret was snatched from. But through some mingling with other kidnapped individuals, she's picked up a few things here and there. and none of the other 50s games I could find were interesting to write about.

When the girl gives her guess, a broad smile crosses Margaret's face. She lets out a sharp hah!]

Hey, you guessed it, down to what was wrong about it! It was a rabbit, not a guinea pig. We needed a rabbit for...for....

[Wait. Hm. Should she be telling this kind of story out loud in a crowded room? Not that she thinks Beth will mind, but the smaller kids--and mothers--might not appreciate it. She pauses, trying to think of another way to phrase it.]

Well, we needed the rabbit for a test, but unfortunately, the only rabbit on hand was Corporal Radar's pet--he was the company clerk, you see. Usually, you have to kill the rabbit to get the results, but we couldn't break Radar's heart like that. So, instead, we did surgery to get what we needed and...well, sewed her back up again, good as new.

[She tilts her head to the side.]

There, see? Now you give it a try.
