Another Russian! It is not relief that courses through Raskolnikov, but there is something almost comforting about knowing there is someone here who is from the motherland. Yet this other man is right; there is a woman glaring warily at Raskolnikov, as though he might attack her like some sort of animal. Raskolnikov glares right back. No, Russians are certainly not popular here, he thinks, rather bitterly. As though he can help his nationality!
