Teddy steps back, out of the way of the redhead who also seems to be upgrading to some alcohol; the quick retort gets a genuine smile from her, though it's less of the bright grin and more of a little wry huff of laughter. "Is that how Christmas works? You only get to wish for something if it fits in a neat little package?" She mimes gift-wrapping.
She doesn't think the woman's one of the various people who are from here -- the joke's a little funnier than she's learning to expect from them, and also, they have some kind of mid-Atlantic not-quite-neutral accent that's a little ...she doesn't know what. Posh? Old fashioned? that the woman doesn't. And fuck it, Teddy's bored, so she forges on.
